I just had to have a go. Sometimes when you have an idea in your head you just can't ignore it. I want to make a selection of bright working pinwheels for my toy shop. I remember loving pinwheels when I was little.
I have made only one so far but at least I know it can be done. It was certainly fiddly and I have superglue under one of my finger nails.
The pinwheel is 2cm high including the stick. I will make the stick a bit longer on the next one. This poor pinwheel has been played around with for so long today in all my attempts to get it mounted on a stick and working so is a bit worse for wear.
And just to prove it works:
That is it for miniatures for today so I will have to take this pinwheel idea further during the week. I have promised my daughter she can teach me how to play Minecraft on the computer.
You can build houses! To be honest I only had a brief go yesterday and that was enough for me but I will have another go to keep my daughter happy. I'm not very good at gaming things as I often find them repetitive and I have better things to do. I think people enjoy creating their own world and things within it. You can also play with other people on-line so there is a social aspect to it as well.
Very cool! I saw a tutorial for these for 4th of July but I don't think they actually spun. I could see making these could get addicting.... :-) Hugs, Lisa
The cutest pin wheel on the planet! I love the video, I expect to see more videos from you lady!
I purchased minecraft on our Xbox for myself last year..but after my now 7 year old Lego lovin gal saw the gamesplay..it was over for me. Its amazing what she can come up with at her age, I think its a great version of virtual legos ;)
I hadn't thought about it in relation to lego but I see what you mean. I must admit it was kind of fun building a house so I will have another go. Apparently you can play in creative mode and not get attacked by monsters. That might be a good way of starting out. My daughter loves it and she is 11 and builds amazing structures. My husband also plays it now and then when he wants a break from his flight simulators and all his other computer games.
Very sweet the paper rotating ! Great idea! Been a while keep trying to follower the blog, but it is always reject. I do not know what could, be the problem with blogger? hugs
Hi Anda. I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble trying to follow my blog. I have no idea why that would be. I hope it can be resolved. I wonder if anyone else is having trouble. I will make some enquiries on this end. Thank you for visiting in the meantime.
Hi Anda. I was just at another blog site and there was a discussion about people having trouble following blogs. It seems like it is a common problem at the moment. One person said that when the error message comes up you can click on "other options" and a second page comes up where you can follow a blog. I don't know if this will help - worth a try.
That's so cool!
