My Word for 2018

I have chosen my word for 2018 and it is “CREATE”.

You can see more about why I chose this word and what my creative goals are on my 12Create blog here

However, some of the 'goals' I have set myself for 2018 as they relate to miniatures are to keep making blog post entries in my 12Create and Myrtle Manor Miniatures blogs, to work on my photography skills, to set up an area to take indoor close up photographs, and to create miniature scenes and photograph them for Myrtle Manor Miniatures.

I will of course be working on some unmade miniature kits and the making of some scratch built miniatures over the course of the year as well but I make no promises as to what or when.

Happy creating everyone.

  3. Your entrance with the dog at open door appears to be inviting Ms. Creativity to come right on in, which is also an appropriate way to welcome in the New Year too! :D

    1. It is funny you should say "inviting Ms Creativity to come right on in" as I am trying to work out a way to turn this house (which my dad built my mother when they were alive) into a house which will hold a lot of hand crafted items that I make - especially mini patchwork, stitching, knitting etc. It already has a lot of hand built miniature furniture my dad made in it. I also want to scale down some of my sisters' paintings to make it a real family memory project but still trying to work out how to go about it so there is a story to it. I will do a post on it soon.

  4. I'm not the type for New Year's resolution because although I like calendars very much I don't want them to tell me what to do. But having a motto or headline for the year sounds like a great idea to me... and what better motto could there be than "create"?! So... happy creating!
